Two Poems

Naughty Birds
My birds are loud, but they are neat.
They need some seeds so they can eat.
I went to the store
To buy some more,
But when I came back,
They had robbed the cat.
When I found the cat,
He was on a mat.
They had stolen his yarn,
So I looked in the barn.
And to my surprise,
I found the birds at sunrise!
So I took them by the wings,
And we walked past the swings.
Even though they had been bad,
They almost looked kinda sad.
So I decided to go easy,
And just took away Mr. Cheesy.
Now just in case you need to know,
Mr. Cheesy is a toy crow.
And now I must say goodbye,
So that I can go and eat some pie.
Sadly, we have come to the end.
Let’s not do that again!
Cleaning for Guests
I cleaned my room once, but that wasn’t enough.
So I cleaned my room twice, but that wouldn’t suffice.
And the third time I did, I found an old twig.
Then finally my room didn’t look like kaboom!
When the guests arrived to have some pie,
Not one person went into my den.
So as you can see, there is no need to clean,
When they’re only coming for pie.
