My Grumpy Old Dog

When my dog stares at me

I know something’s up.

When he growls

it’s like a bear

is there to eat me.

It gets louder

like a siren howling.

Soon my dog is joined

by my mom yelling.

Her scream fills the house.

My dog gets louder.

But then we go on a walk

and everything is fine

until the morning comes.
