Breaking News! Giant Rats are Attacking Austin!

This is Hannah B. reporting on terrifying news. At 10:02 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, the police reported a call from a young man claiming that he saw a swarm of giant rats the size of a skateboard in downtown Austin. The largest one measured to be four feet tall! Soon lots of calls poured into the police station.

The police are thinking they can lure them in with peanut butter, but where would they put the giant rodents? They realized they had to take care of the city, so some engineers volunteered to help design traps. The police are working on it now.

Scientists say it’s because of the cold weather. The rodents came right after the huge snow storm that happened a few days ago. They are planning to capture and study the rodents and find out where they came from and what they eat.

I’m interviewing Wheridan Sashington.

Hannah: “How do you feel about the giant rats attacking Austin?”

Wher: “I feel absolutely terrified, I can’t go outside!”

Hannah: “Where do you think they come from?”

Wher: “I think this is all a government conspiracy.”

Hannah: “Why do you think the government would do this to us?”

Wher: “It is probably for population control.”
