Hi everyone, I’m Valerie. Y’all probably don’t know me too well. I have two sisters: one kinda annoying one and one really annoying one.
Some of you may know that it is my third year at Alpha. Before I came to Alpha, I went to a really bad school. Has anyone here ever been bullied? I have. At my old school the bullying got so bad, we had some random person teach us about bullying. Like, do you have to get a degree in being mean now? I wasn’t really paying attention until she said “Stick and stones will hurt my bones, but words will never hurt me.” So…I threw a dictionary at her.
The whole class laughed; I tried to stay silent, but…the look on her face whenever she said, “WHO DID THAT!?” Everyone just stayed silent, except the one girl who hated me the most, she blurted out “IT WAS VAL!”
Later the vice principal came into the room and said “Valerie I need to talk to you.” I walked to the door trying not to laugh. I went and sat in her office for what seemed like hours.
The vice principal rushed in. She told me I had to call my parents and tell them what I did. I was shaking, dreading the moment when I dialed my parent’s phone number.
The principal said, “You can choose to call your mom or your dad.” I was thinking to myself, my mom is at work, I wonder if she would answer. My dad is at home probably taking a nap. “MY MOM!” I shouted out. If I called and woke my dad he would yell so loud the phone might explode.
I picked up the phone shaking. I dialed my mom’s phone number. *Ring…ring…ring…* “leave you message at the tone.” is all I heard. I called my dad. I told him what happened, and he laughed. He told me to be ready in 10 minutes. He said we were getting ice cream at the zoo.
The vice principal walked me out 10 minutes later, my dad drove up with a smile on his face. The vice principal looked confused and let me go. The ice cream was great — the sweet taste of not getting into trouble. The End.
